Active ingredient: Botulinum toxin type A, produced by culturing Clostridium botulinum strain CBAT-4 in a suitable medium.
Excipients: Human albumin, sodium chloride.
This product is a white lyophilized powder supplied in a colorless, transparent vial. Upon reconstitution with sterile physiological saline, it yields a clear, colorless to pale yellow solution.
This product is a botulinum toxin preparation. Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin produced by Clostridium botulinum. Botulinum toxin type A blocks neuromuscular transmission by binding to specific receptor sites on motor or autonomic nerve terminals, entering the nerve terminals, and inhibiting the release of acetylcholine (ACh), thereby resulting in flaccid muscle paralysis.
