Empowering Confidence

through Innovation

R&D Platforms

As a pioneer in self-developed biomedical materials in China, Imeik has charted its innovation path since its inception. In 2012, we established the Beijing Engineering Laboratory for Biodegradable New Materials, achieving breakthroughs in R&D efficiency, system development, and market influence. Our newly constructed R&D center commenced operations in 2022, featuring dedicated platforms for medical device innovation and biotechnology research. This facility drives interdisciplinary R&D across medical devices, biologics, and cosmetics.

By strengthening core technological capabilities and brand development, we foster deep integration across industry, academia, research, and medical communities, positioning the center as a leading scientific institution with proprietary technologies, domestic leadership, and international competitiveness.

Scientific Research Projects

We actively collaborate with leading universities and research institutions to pioneer scientific breakthroughs addressing critical challenges on the global technological frontier, national strategic priorities, and public health imperatives.

Recently, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Science Park Administrative Committee released the list of recognized Beijing Key Laboratories for 2026. The "Beijing Key Laboratory of Aging Regulation and Translational Innovation in Skin and Soft Tissue" (BKL-ARTIST) — with IMEIK Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Imeik") as the supporting institution, Professor Long Xiao, Director of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, serving as Laboratory Director, and co-established by top-tier forces from industry, academia, research, and medicine including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Peking University, Beijing Nuobote Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Aige Stem Cell Technology Co., Ltd. — has successfully obtained recognition on the strength of its solid research capabilities and well-defined pathway for industrial translation. This signifies that IMEIK's collaborative innovation platform integrating industry, academia, research, and medicine in the fields of skin and soft tissue anti-aging and biomedical repair materials has now been incorporated into the management system of the Beijing Key Laboratories. BKL-ARTIST will establish an integrated scientific research and innovation carrier covering the investigation of skin and soft tissue aging mechanisms, the development of innovative materials and cutting-edge biotechnologies, and clinical validation. It will also serve as a crucial vehicle in Beijing's strategic layout for the beauty, health, and regenerative medicine sectors. As an integral part of Beijing's science and technology innovation system, the Beijing Key Laboratories are tasked with assembling and cultivating innovative scientific and technological talent, focusing on major national strategies and Beijing's high-end, precision, and advanced industrial sectors, as well as the critical needs of economic and social development. By addressing practical problems, defining phased objectives, promoting major original innovation and breakthroughs in key and core technologies, they aim to resolve the scientific and technological challenges hindering development. BKL-ARTIST will closely align with the national and Beijing strategies for the biomedical and healthcare industry, concentrating on the global scientific challenge of full-thickness skin and soft tissue aging. Through the deep integration of basic research, technological breakthroughs, and clinical translation, it will forge a complete innovation chain extending from the elucidation of molecular mechanisms to the application of clinical products. Founded in 2004, IMEIK Technology Development Co., Ltd. was listed on the ChiNext board in September 2020. As a national-level specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprise, a national high-tech enterprise, and a National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise, IMEIK has already established research and development platforms including a national postdoctoral research workstation, the Beijing Engineering Laboratory for Biodegradable New Materials, and the Beijing Enterprise Technology Center. It has also built a national green factory and a Beijing Advanced Smart Factory. The approval of the Beijing Key Laboratory this time will further accelerate the in-depth and substantive advancement of industry-academia-research collaborative innovation.
