Imeik and Meituan Join Forces: Launching the Era of Functional Skincare 3.0


Imeik will make its debut at the 29th China Beauty Expo (CBE), held from 12–14 May 2025 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Imeik, known for more than a decade of research into functional skincare, is partnering with Meituan for this year’s event at Booth E5-J06.


This marks the first large-scale collaboration between Imeik’s “medical-to-aesthetic” innovation programme and Meituan’s beauty business. Together, the two will present pioneering solutions in facial zone-specific skincare management and an integrated supply chain model combining “products + stores + traffic.” From product design to traffic conversion, the partnership aims to demonstrate a roadmap for growth across the aesthetic skincare industry.


During the expo, Imeik will also unveil its new H.T LAB Hearty series, centred on high-performance “hero ingredients” and targeting core skincare scenarios. The launch is set to usher in a new chapter in efficacy-led skincare—Functional Skincare 3.0.


IP Power Meets Platform Strength: Building a Tech-Driven Skincare Ecosystem


With the rise of functional skincare and non-invasive aesthetic treatments, Imeik—renowned for its expertise in medical aesthetics—has steadily expanded into skincare R&D. In 2015, it established its “Yuanli Lab” to explore barrier-repair mechanisms through layered, phased research. This led to the 2021 release of its IFuyuan repair series products.


In 2023, Imeik formally adopted its “medical-to-aesthetic” strategy, translating clinical expertise into consumer-facing products. The following year, it launched the Hearty Skincare line—anchored by the medical aesthetics IP Hearty—adding Hearty Skincare and Hearty Panda to its product portfolio and accelerating expansion into aesthetic retail.


Meituan, which entered the medical aesthetics sector in 2017, has leveraged its digital infrastructure and traffic precision to reshape the industry. Over the past eight years, it has helped digitise the light aesthetics market, fostered supply chain integration, and enhanced vertical expertise. Today, it offers a dual advantage of “precise local traffic” and “trusted rankings,” with gross merchandise volume (GMV) estimated in the tens of billions.


So far in 2025, the beauty sector continues to show robust momentum. Emerging markets are growing, industry consolidation is stabilising, and digital penetration—especially among younger consumers—is accelerating. As aesthetic, medical, and skincare industries converge around a shared goal of “beauty enhancement,” consumer segments are increasingly overlapping.


In this evolving landscape, platform-driven and brand-led models are becoming essential. More beauty institutions are turning to advanced tools to unlock new growth. That requires both upstream innovation and downstream operational enablement—exactly what Imeik and Meituan are bringing to the table.


Imeik × Meituan: A Strategic Blueprint for the Aesthetic Skincare Industry


Imeik is applying its proven experience in clinical facial zoning to develop new treatments for facial, neck, and eye care within the consumer beauty market. Leveraging its premium Hearty IP and Meituan’s powerful traffic engine, the partnership is launching innovative models such as co-branded group buying campaigns and cloud-based account management for chain stores—streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency.


In addition to digital operations and traffic generation, Imeik is also providing offline support to help partner stores increase customer retention and transaction volume. To date, over 50 institutions have partnered with Hearty Skincare—more than half of them established chain brands.


H.T LAB Hearty Series: Functional Skincare 3.0 Begins

 

Core to Imeik’s “medical-to-aesthetic” strategy is its ability to build robust product ecosystems. The company continues to invest in R&D, optimising the active ingredient Hearty for key use cases such as post-treatment care, barrier repair, and anti-ageing.


Under the brand philosophy “Healthy skin first, then better skin,” Imeik’s research team focuses on RNA signal transduction as a foundation for developing high-efficacy solutions. The new H.T LAB Hearty range targets multiple skin concerns—from inflammation relief to hydration, collagen regeneration, and firming—through advanced formulations rooted in cutting-edge molecular science.


Following the launch, the complete Hearty Skincare line will span eight core categories including cleansing, hydration, repair, brightening, and specialised care for eyes and neck. This comprehensive, full-cycle offering enables beauty institutions to tailor products to diverse consumer needs, create hero SKUs, and convert foot traffic into long-term growth.
